When taking a trip, more often than not, the accommodation can play as big a role in creating a relaxing and interesting experience as the destination itself. And in the modern age of travel, a dynamic range of unique homes-away-from-home can offer travellers truly unforgettable experiences. One such example is Le Domaine des Bulles, a series of transparent bubble rooms built on an idyllic island in the Caribbean.

Located between Petite Grenada and Ravine Plate on the shores of Vauclin Bay on the French Caribbean island of Martinique, Le Domaine des Bulles offers guests the opportunity to truly immerse themselves in the surrounding beauty of the region. Four different bubbles are available, including the Air Suite, which offers stunning elevated views of tree tops, the Mineral Bubble, which comes complete with a Jacuzzi, and the Water Bubble, which is built inside a closed off courtyard, offering relaxation and privacy. Each bubble is fitted with a bed, and guests can lie back and gaze at the stars and they drift off to sleep.

“Visitors can experience something different from what they will find anywhere else on the island. Sleeping in a bubble in contact with a nature, arranged in complete privacy and with a team totally dedicated to their service. The bubbles are inspired by nature, with the desire to highlight it, and have minimum impact on and maximum interaction with it,” a spokesperson for Le Domaine des Bulles told Lonely Planet Travel News.
