Anse des Flamands' clear waters are very popular with beachgoers and surfers when the swell's up. Although there's no shade, upmarket hotels at the eastern end have bars, sun loungers and umbrellas for paying customers. There’s easy beach access with streetside parking at the low-key westernmost end, which is a relaxed spot to spread out your towel. You also may find parking on the main road, from where several laneways also lead down to the beach.
