Le Monastère des Augustines

Top choice in Québec City

Attached to the convent museum, this fabulous hostelry is the most atmospheric place to stay in Québec City. Choose among 32 'authentic' rooms (shared bath) – former cells inhabited by the nuns when it was a much larger working convent – or 33 'modern' rooms in a new wing with all the usual commodities.

There's an attached restaurant serving multicourse set meals ($24) at 6pm and 7pm Thursday to Saturday. The monastery is a nonprofit organization and all proceeds go to the Augustinian Sisters Heritage Fund.
