Tumichucuá Cabins

Amazon Basin

These red-brick and thatch-roofed cabins are in Tumichucuá, 25km south of Riberalta, next to a serene lake that's perfect for swimming, hiking and wildlife watching. Since they're part of a community-tourism project supported by the Catholic church, you'll need to book your bunk at the Vicariato Apostólico de Pando, three blocks east of the plaza in Riberalta.

Each of the cabins has five single beds and a nice deck. While there are a few basic restaurants in Tumichucuá, it's best to bring your own food and supplies.
