Stay in a former 1920s miner's quarters in this character-filled, rustic B&B on the grounds of Sala Silvergruva. A variety of room types are available, but shower and toilet facilities are shared. Rooms are furnished in period style with antiques and comfy, home-style linens and soft, natural fabrics and fibres.

If you really want to do something different, you can stay in the world's deepest hotel suite, 155m below ground, in the silver mine itself: no windows, no external light, but luxury furnishings, a CB-radio link to an on-call staff member above ground, and a toilet outside your door… all for the reasonable (?) price of 4495kr.
