VOC Café

Medieval Centre & Red Light District

Inside the landmark 15th-century Schreierstoren, this atmospheric café (pub) has a historical interior with hefty timber beams and a canal-side terrace. Jenevers (Dutch gins), liqueurs and local beers are served alongside classic Dutch bar snacks such as meat-filled bitterballen (deep-fried meatballs) and cheese croquettes. If you're arriving by boat you can dock at its pier.

It's a popular wedding venue, so hours can vary.
