Baxter State Park has 11 campgrounds, a handful of bunkhouses and basic cabins sleeping from two to six, and numerous backcountry sites ($21), including some sites with lean-tos and bunkhouses. Locations, facilities and opening dates are outlined on the park website. Summer season is generally mid-May to mid-October; winter season is from December to March. Make reservations well in advance.
