Hotel-Cabinas Leyko

The Río San Juan & Islas Solentiname

The rooms overlooking the wetlands at the rear of the hotel are a little pricey but are the most peaceful accommodations in San Carlos. Avoid the dingy cheaper rooms above reception, which are all a bit cramped and dark. The friendly owners speak English and arrange tours.

Day trips to the Reserva Esperanza Verde cost US$30 per person with a two-person minimum, and include transport, guides and trail access.
