Standing at the northern end of Carrer de Montcada, on the corner of Carrer dels Corders, this much-meddled-with Romanesque chapel was once a wayfarers’ stop on the road northeast out of medieval Barcelona. Originally financed by wealthy bourgeois Bernat Marcús, it's one of the city's oldest churches, with a 17th-century subterranean crypt hidden below.
