Denkmal des Polnischen Soldaten und des deutschen Antifaschisten

Friedrichshain

Created in 1972, this memorial on the northern edge of Volkspark Friedrichshain honours the joint fight against the Nazis of the Polish communist underground army (Armia Ludowa) and German communist resistance fighters.

The memorial consists of a concrete column with bronze bunting, a German-Polish inscription that translates as 'For our freedom and yours' and a relief of soldiers.
