Bahía de la Luna

Puerto Ángel

This rustic-chic hideaway sits in splendid isolation at lovely Playa La Boquilla – a place for really escaping the world. The simple fan-cooled bungalows are scattered over a tree-covered hillside overlooking the beach. Some have kitchens, but there's also an informal Mexican/international-fusion beach restaurant (lunch from M$85 to M$150, two-course dinner from M$350), with excellent seafood and steaks and generous margaritas.

Snorkel gear, kayaks and a paddleboard are free for guests. Expect spotty wi-fi. A taxi from Puerto Ángel costs M$150 or you can hire a motorboat for M$600.
