Posada El Alemán

Down by the river, with sweeping views of the Andes, this German/Argentine-owned complex feels like a slice of suburban Bavaria circa 1970. Rooms in the low-slung brick building are cozy, if busy and dated. The small restaurant, decorated with Bernahard's souvenir beer mugs and bottles, serves hearty dishes and superb breakfasts. Best for groups who can take advantage of small kitchenettes.
