Obelisk Temple

Remains of the early 2nd millennium BC Obelisk Temple have 1500 gold-covered votive offerings in the shape of human figures, which were discovered here in the 20th century are now displayed at Beirut’s National Museum. This structure used to overlay the adjacent Temple of Resheph, but was reconstructed here in order to be able to excavate it.
