AyurvedaGram Heritage Wellness Centre is a harbour of healing and a place of recreation and relaxation. Apart from undergoing the various therapies, just the simple aesthetic of the place – set amidst medicinal trees, fruits and flowers promises to rejuvenate mind, body and spirit.

The silence in AyurvedaGram is one seemingly borne of serenity and grace. From the carved wooden pillars and cornices, the plastered white walls and red-oxide flooring, to the expansive gardens marked by stone pathways and punctuated by idols and artefacts; all recall an older world and a less complicated existence. The centre offers yoga and meditation, Ayurvedic oil and powder massages, satvic diets and detoxifying purges addressing a wide range of ailments. The busiest time is between October and December when guests arrive from all over the world.

Yogavedagram Kalithattu

Also known as Kuroor Mana, this vast hall doubles both as a place for cultural performances as well as the yoga and meditation centre. Exquisitely made with smooth red-oxide floors, and a high ceiling roofed with brick tiles, the hall is suffused with energy both calming and rejuvenating.

Health Centre

This 100-year-old building, known as Pulimkunnu Mana, was transplanted from Kerala a little over a decade ago.it houses the health centre; the facilities within are quite modern but in accordance with the aesthetics of AyurvedaGram.

Sumukhi

Sumukhi is an indulgent herbal beauty parlour housed within the Health Centre. Here you can avail of the application of herbal ointments, massages with oils, steam baths and many more traditional treatments all entirely bespoke.

Herbal Garden

This lush garden contains over 200 varieties of neatly labelled medicinal plants. Guest cottages surround the garden, and a stone jogging track runs through and around it. Most of these plants contribute to treatments and medicines.

Yogavedagram Recreation Building

This is the space set aside for recreation. The building looks somewhat like a massive white doorway, leading to the herbal garden and the residences of the Yogavedagram beyond.it houses the multi-gym and the carom and table-tennis tables on the ground floor, and an eclectic library above, with a few dark wood chairs and tables for reading and reflection.

Accommodation

All categories of rooms provide similar modern comforts such as TVs and hot water but differ with respect to space and privacy. Rooms and cottages are similar in their architecture, in that they follow the aesthetic of the Centre. Classic and classic deluxe rooms are a part of the yoga and meditation centre, with a long communal veranda. Heritage and heritage deluxe cottages line the herbal garden.

Suruchi

The beautifully furnished restaurant is open on all sides. Only buffet meals are served; the food is vegetarian and mostly traditional Kerala fare, but dishes from the rest of South India are also available. Most particularly, however, Suruchi serves satvic food, adding just another dimension to the ‘wellness’ theme that permeates AyurvedaGram.
