Rice field art in Japan gets Guinness record
An enormous artwork created with rice plants in Saitama, Japan, has been given the Guinness Book record for world’s largest rice field art.
The work, which uses seven different kinds of rice plants, represents the themes ‘kids’ and ‘outer space’. Rice field art – something that can only be fully appreciated from above – has been employed to revitalise and draw visitors to towns elsewhere in Japan. Read more: newsonjapan.com
