Couples in love have been known to wax poetically about being able to see the whole world in each other’s eyes. Now one Hawaiian property lets the two betrothed soak in the entire universe under crystal-clear skies while reciting their vows.
The Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, named the world’s best hotel for stargazing, is now offering the Stellar Maui’d Under the Stars wedding experience. Couple who book it climb to the hotel’s secluded rooftop with their friends and family. There with the help of the resort’s telescopes and thanks to the lack of light pollution on the island, they will be able to see up to 80 out of 88 known constellations.
The couple and guests will be outfitted with leis, a non-denominational officiant will perform the ceremony, a soloist will play traditional Hawaiian music, the aisle will be strung with flower petals, the bride will receive a bouquet and an artist will paint the experience to capture the special moment forever. Afterwards the newlyweds can toast with a bottle of sparkling wine or two Starry Nights, a vodka-infused wine cocktail.
“We are so excited that we are able to offer this, as it is definitely a unique experience for all,” says wedding manager Kiana Nip. “Couples are able to enjoy a beautiful setting under the stars...it’s definitely a night they’ll never forget.”
In addition to this new wedding experience, the resort offers a rooftop astronomy program every night at 8pm and 9pm and a special Romance Tour at 10pm with sparkling wine and chocolate strawberries.
