Aminah Arif

Bandar Seri Begawan

Aminah Arif is synonymous with ambuyat (thick, glue-like sago gloop), Brunei's signature dish, served with a hot dipping sauce flavoured with kasturi lime and an assortment of meat, fish and vegetable sides. If you're up for a generous serving of gelatinous goo, this is the place to try it.

The gobbets of goo can be washed down with iced kasturi ping (lime juice). There are several branches of Aminah Arif in town, but the Kiulap branch is the most central.
