Al Ain Rotana Hotel

Al Ain

This behemoth of a hotel is Al Ain's most central lodging, with a big outdoor pool area and soaring atrium complete with fake palm trees. Spacious rooms all have balconies but rather dated beige furniture. Slightly more modern rooms are in the newer Falaj wing, set around five circular pools.

Distractions include squash and tennis courts as well as Polynesian-themed bar Trader Vic's, which is popular for a tipple.
