Taforalt

Mediterranean Coast & the Rif Mountains

Taforalt, also known as Tafoughalt, is a somewhat haphazard settlement that arose around a former French military installation. The northern end, which you come upon first if entering from Berkane, contains a small souq with plenty of spices, dates and delicious local almond butter mixed with argan oil. Along the road is a strip of cafes and restaurants.
