Created in 1972, this memorial at the northern edge of Volkspark Friedrichshain, off Virchowstrasse and Margarete-Sommer-Strasse, honors the joint fight against the Nazis of the Polish communist underground army (Armia Ludowa) and German communist resistance fighters.
The memorial consists of a concrete column with bronze bunting, a German-Polish inscription that translates as "For our freedom and yours" and a relief of soldiers.
