Refugio Herpetologico de Costa Rica

San José

Costa Rica is full of wild reptiles, but for people who prefer meeting things with scales under controlled circumstances, there's the Refugio Herpetologico. On display are a bunch of snakes, turtles, caimans and a large crocodile, which can be viewed through a window as it swims underwater. There are also some resident spiders and capuchin monkeys, plus a couple of ocelots.
