Welcome to Petrópolis

The landscape surrounding Petrópolis provides another compelling reason to visit. The fantastically shaped peaks of Parque Nacional Serra dos Órgãos are just a short drive out of town, with waterfalls, swimming holes, trails and outdoor experiences suitable for everyone from families with children to world-class climbers.

Finally, there's the beer. Petrópolis and the surrounding region are packed with breweries, from Cervejaria Bohemia in the heart of town (Brazil's oldest brewery, with its own beer museum) to big industrial operations like Itaipava, to a host of up-and-coming microbreweries.
