Cape Denison’s location close to the South Magnetic Pole makes it an ideal place to observe Earth’s magnetic field. Magnetograph House and Magnetic Absolute Hut, northeast of the Main Hut, were where this work was conducted. A stone wall built on its windward side protected Magnetograph House, the best-preserved building at Cape Denison.
