Royal fans can follow in the footsteps of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry with a new itinerary inspired by September's royal tour in South Africa and Botswana.
Travel company Classic Escapes is offering a ten-day package through Southern Africa where you can enjoy some of the cultural experiences had by Meghan and Harry when they visited in September. While you won't meet with Archbishop Desmond Tutu or get a personal audience with Nelson Mandela's widow Graca Mahal like the Sussexes did, you will visit Chobe National Park in Botswana, where Harry planted trees with local students and the Justice Desk Project, a nonprofit that works to keep women and children safe in Nyanga.
"We leveraged our three decades plus in the travel industry to set up a cultural and philanthropic experience that mimics Harry and Meghan's getaway, " a representative for the company told People.
The "In the Footsteps of Royals" package includes other hands-on experiences pulled straight from Harry and Meghan's trip like a cooking lesson from a local in Bo-Kaap, much like the one Meghan and Harry received on Heritage Day. There's also a day in Johannesburg to learn about South African history at the Mandela House Museum, the Apartheid Museum, and Hector Pieterson Square.
Not every pit-stop is royal-approved. Some stops are there simply to show you South Africa's beauty, such as a trek up Table Mountain, wine-tasting in the the country's verdant vineyards, seeing Africa’s Big 5 up-close in Kruger National Park and getting (responsibly) close to the penguins of Boulders Penguin Colony.
Travelling like a royal obviously doesn't come cheap. The package starts at $7395 (£5753) per person and the price of airfare is not included.
