If you miss your furry friends when you go away for the weekend, we may just have the perfect job for you in the UK.
Accomodation-booking site, Snaptrip, is looking for two dogs to travel with their owners to its dog-friendly properties to review them in terms of how suitable they are for dogs. It has over 36,000 dog-friendly cottages on its site, and its chosen "furrfluencers" will visit ten of the properties over 12 months, all expenses paid, making sure to enjoy everything the property and local area has to offer.
If you are chosen, you will write a detailed review complete with great photography, and will be paid £300 (€337) per review. Each one must be a minimum of 500 words long and must judge properties on the following criteria: dog enjoyment, dog practicality, access to local walks and dog-friendly establishments like pubs and garden spaces. The review will be uploaded to Snaptrip's blog, in the hope it will act as a benchmark for dog-friendly properties on the site, and will help customers pick a holiday rental that fits their needs.
One dog chosen will be between six months and three years old, and the other between four and ten years old. They must be comfortable travelling, in good health, photogenic and at ease in front of the camera, and the owners must have an eye for detail. “Whether they want a chilled countryside retreat for their ageing labrador, or an active fun-packed break for their bouncy cockapoo, Snaptrip.com customers will be able to read an actual dog’s experience of a holiday rental to decide whether it’s the perfect place for them and their pet,” says Matt Fox, CEO and co-founder of Snaptrip.com.
