USFS Groveland Ranger Station

About 8 miles east of Groveland, the ranger station offers recreation information for the surrounding Stanislaus National Forest and nearby Tuolumne Wild and Scenic River Area. It's also the place to get wilderness and river permits, and becomes a popular stop for walk-up campers when Yosemite sites are full.
