Dondra Head Lighthouse

The landmark Dondra Head Lighthouse provides an exclamation mark to the southernmost point of Sri Lanka. Visitors are not permitted to enter the lighthouse compound or climb up the structure's interior, but the fine ocean-side setting is still inspiring and there's a pretty cove beach with a few colorful fishing boats hauled onto the sand just next to it. It's 1.2km south of the center.
