This center occupies the handsome Gothic and Renaissance cloisters and rooms of the monastery formerly attached to the church on the landmark Plaza del Carmen. It's in a fairly severe Cistercian style and devoted to temporary exhibitions – there are often several at one time – and the center is always worth a visit for a stroll around the cloisters alone.
