Plaza de la Corredera

Once the site of big public spectacles – bullfights, executions, Inquisition autos-da-fé – this vast Castilian-style plaza makes quite an impression with its arched porticoes and 17th-century buildings. Its assorted bars and cafes are a popular hang-out while, on the southern flank, the Mercado de la Corredera is a busy food market.
