Set across six themed lands inside a fully air-conditioned complex, Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi (wbworldabudhabi.com; adult/child from Dhs345/295) is geared towards families and anyone raised on Looney Tunes, DC Comics and Hanna-Barbera cartoons. The world's largest indoor theme park promises to bring out your inner child through 29 high-tech rides, attractions and games, accompanied by iconic characters from the Flintstones, the Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, Batman and Superman. Gotham City and Metropolis lean darker and have higher-intensity rides, while Cartoon Junction and Bedrock skew younger.

There are also 15-minute shows at the Warner Bros Plaza, and plenty of restaurants and ice-cream parlors to keep you fed. Allow at least half a day, or a full day if visiting with children. Weekday mornings are noticeably quieter than weekends.
