The elegant modern Silk Museum is set in a Gothic-cum-baroque palace that in the 15th century was the seat of the Valencia silkworkers' guild. Silk was a major Valencian industry, and the compact exhibits take you through its history in Spain and Valencia, the lifecycle of the silk moth, and silk fashions from different ages. Upstairs has lovely restored rooms, the highlight being a fabulous rococo tiled floor depicting the fame of silk, here in woman's form, across four continents, represented by relevant beasts.
There is an excellent shop. Pass through it into a recreated silk workshop with loom (active for group visits) and a pleasant patio with a restaurant.
