Biblioteca Pública

San Miguel de Allende

As well as housing one of the largest collections of books and magazines in English in Latin America, this excellent public library functions as a cultural center. It's also the editorial offices of the weekly English-Spanish Atención San Miguel newspaper and has an on-site cafe that provides a pleasant spot from which to view the cultural action. The tiny Teatro Santa Ana also hosts talks and performances.
