The annual Khajuraho dance festival is set to begin on February 20th and will go on until February 26th 2021. Organized by Ustad Alauddin Khan Music and Arts Academy, the Department of Culture, and Government of Madhya Pradesh, it takes place in the famous Khajuraho temple complex, a UNESCO world heritage site. The festival showcases and promotes art, culture and tradition through Indian dance forms. This year the festival celebrates its 47th anniversary.
Apart from a line up of music and dance performances, the current edition of the festival promises a host of other activities like e-bike tours, village tours, art exhibition, film screenings, water sports and a food festival. You could also pack in a quick trip to Panna National Park and Kutni dam from Khajuraho.

The performances are scheduled to begin at 7 pm every evening. Some of the dance forms that will be performed during the festival include Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Mohiniattam, Odissi, Kuchipudi and Manipuri.
