High atop Spring Mountain and smack on the county boundary, this family-owned winery is the pride of both Napa and Sonoma. Winemaker Sally Johnson and David Orozco's sustainable-farming vineyard team share credit for cult-status cabernet and merlot, and they also collaborate on wines only available on-site –) aromatic viognier and spicy cab franc reward trips up the mountain (bottles $45 to $145).
