Welcome to Ordu
A Greek-founded trading port that's passed through the hands of Romans, Byzantines and many others, Ordu is a prosperous, attractive place unmatched as the hazelnut capital of the world. Geographically blessed, central Ordu sits between Kiraz Limani (Cherry Port) and the handsome green slopes of Boztepe (550m). While the city sprawls in both directions, the winding narrow lanes give the old centre a village-like feel, while the palm-lined seaside boulevard comes into its own in the warmer months. There's a good stretch of sand beaches 5km west of town.
