OBA: Centrale Bibliotheek Amsterdam

This being Amsterdam, it has one of the coolest libraries you can imagine, built in 2007 and spread over multiple light, bright floors. The basement is devoted to kids, with low shelves of books, activities, a polar bar and a display case with dolls of diverse nationalities, skin colors and physical abilities. On the 7th floor is a 250-seat cinema, a cafe and restaurant with an outdoor summer terrace offering thrilling panoramic views across the water to Amsterdam's medieval center.
