Neilson Hays Library

Bangkok

The oldest English-language library in Thailand, Neilson Hays dates back to 1869, and today remains the city’s noblest place for a read – with the added benefit of being pampered with air-con in a charming, newly restored colonial-era building. It has a good selection of children’s books and a decent range of titles on Thailand. Music recitals and book readings are occasionally held; check the website for details on upcoming events.
