Meerlust Estate

Stellenbosch

Hannes Myburgh is the eighth generation of his family to have run this historic wine estate since 1756. Most famous for its Rubicon claret, it's a much quieter alternative to many wineries, with no restaurant or pairing options.

Its tasting room, decorated with the owner’s collection of posters and a fine history of the winery, is worth a look.
