Stony Gut Monument

This marker, commemorating Bogle’s birthplace, stands opposite the Methodist church, 8km inland at the tiny hamlet of Stony Gut. His great-grandson Phillip Bogle is buried behind the marker. A second marker was erected in 2016 by the BBC, to commemorate Bogle's role in black British history.
