St Mary's Catholic Church

In 1793, after the official suppression of the faith was relaxed, St Mary's was the first new Catholic church to be opened in Wales. Even then it needed to be discreet and was hidden behind a line of cottages. They've since been removed, explaining why it's set back from the road.
