This arcaded Renaissance landmark is one of several historic buildings fronting Piazza della Libertà, Macerata's showpiece square. Built in 1505 for Cardinal Alessandro Farnese, the soon-to-be Pope Paul III, it originally housed travelling merchants selling their wares.
