This superb museum traces Budapest's catering and hospitality through the ages, including the dramatic changes after WWII, with original shops, restaurant items, tableware, advertising posters, packaging and old shop signs. There's also an intimate look at the lives of various tradespeople and their recreated outlets – from pastry chefs and publicans to hoteliers and grocers. Go upstairs for some cutting-edge temporary exhibits. It's huge but a gem so persevere.
