Frognerparken attracts westside locals with its broad lawns, ponds, stream, and rows of shady trees for picnics, strolling or lounging on the grass. It's most famous for Vigelandsparken, a sprawling sculpture-park-within-a-park, but there's more to see besides. Norway's biggest collection of roses is here (more than 150 species), and there's a sizeable children's playground, drop-in tennis courts and an open-air swimming pool.
Oslo City Museum is here too; it's in the Manor House.
