Start in the natural history gallery of BC's best museum and say hello to the hulking woolly mammoth exhibit. From there, wander alongside evocative dioramas, then head up to the First Peoples exhibit with its fascinating mask gallery – complete with a ferret-faced white man. The museum's highlight, though, is the walk-through colonial street with its chatty Chinatown and detailed storefronts.

The museum hosts regular special exhibitions and also has a popular IMAX theater screening documentaries and Hollywood blockbusters.
