Benedictine Abbey

Styria

This Benedictine abbey is a stunning Romanesque basilica and serves as the mausoleum of Karl II. A highlight is the moving Romanesque crucifixion, which is some 800 years old. Tours give an historical insight into the lives of monks in the abbey; there is also an interesting bookshop.
