In the 26 years since Slovakia gained independence and cast off its communist-era shackles, more people have discovered its baroque palaces, fascinating history and enviable position in the heart of central Europe. The best time to book flights to Eindhoven is 14 weeks before departure to ensure you get a great price. Not a big hitter like Amsterdam, Eindhoven has to work a little harder, but once you’re there, it doesn’t take long for the city’s eclectic eating and cultural scenes to win you over.
