Coastal Discovery Museum

A Smithsonian Affiliate, this museum is well worth a trip for its exhibits highlighting the island's rich Gullah history, natural wonders and other coastal treasures. A trail system on the 62-acre property winds past ancient oak trees, lush gardens and historic buildings. The museum suggests a donation of $5.
