Near the shores of Lake Erie, the modern and comprehensive Tom Ridge Environmental Center pretty much covers everything you'd want to know about both that Great Lake and nearby Presque Isle, which is actually a 3200-acre sandy peninsula. There are plenty of interactive exhibits for kids.
