Wailuku Public Library

Designed by Maui-born architect CW Dickey and completed in 1928, the Wailuku Public Library building displays a now-distinctive regional design. Note Dickey's signature element – the double-pitched hip roof. Non-residents can get a three month library card for only $10 which allows you to check out books, ebooks and periodicals. The collection includes titles on Hawaiian history, language, music and culture. You can even borrow an ʻukulele or study ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi for free through Mango languages.
