Your horseback-riding experience from Sebastopol begins with a welcome drink before you are given a safety briefing.Your guide leads the way and makes sure you feel comfortable as you ride across the Mauritius countryside on Boerperd horses, which originate from South Africa. Known for their gentleness, they are great for nonexperienced riders. During the trek, you'll explore the colorful landscapes and natural wildlife of the island, including indigenous forests, rivers, valleys, java stags, and endemic birds. Admire amazing views during your ride that provide a nice alternative to the beach. The adventure ends after about two hours. Santa Rosa Wine Country Bike Tour
This Wine Country bike tour will introduce you to the beautiful Western Sonoma Region, beginning in Santa Rosa, continuing to charming Sebastopol and beyond. Meet at 10am at the designated meeting location in Santa Rosa and bike along the Joe Rodota bike trail to the Barlow, Sonoma County’s newest open air market center, hosting lots of fun activities. You'll taste wine at MacPhail and then explore the Barlow, where you can pick up a fresh and local lunch. Then cycle along the bike path and back roads to Taft Street Winery, famous for its garagiste wine. After lunch you will make your way to Fog Crest Vineyards to taste wine on the terrace and look out over the Santa Rosa Plain. From there it’s a quick ride to the Laguna Trail in Sebastopol to pick up the bike path, bringing the group back to the Santa Rosa location by about 3:30 pm. Great wineries, beautiful scenery, and a gorgeous bike path all add up to the perfect day!
Santa Rosa Pints 'n' Pedals
You will meet at the designated meeting location in Santa Rosa at 10:30am. This allows ample time to finish your B&B breakfast or make the drive up from virtually anywhere in the Northern California region. Then you'll be fitted into a Specialized Cross Trail bike along with a helmet, bag, and optional comfortable gel seat cover. Your guide goes over the “Rules of the Road” as well as how to operate the bike. Your first stop on your tour will be at one of the two most well known breweries in Santa Rosa: 1st, Russian River Brewing Company or Third Street Ale Works offer a wide variety of amazing craft brewed beers that can be ordered in sample sizes. (Depending on wait time and availability your group may not stop at Russian River Brewery) After your first brewery you'll get back on your bike and pedal your way along quiet side roads and the Joe Rodota bike trail out to the beautiful and charming town of Sebastopol. Here you will stop at Hopmonk Tavern to enjoy some of their extensive beer menu as well as their fantastic lunch menu. After you have given both the beer and food time to sit, the group will get back on their bikes to explore more of this beautiful area. Continue to cycle around and check out some other fun spots before the last brewery stop at Woodfour at the Barlow Center. Here you will enjoy their great selection before making the way back to the starting location, biking through farmland and vineyards along the way. Once back at the home base your tour guide will bid you farewell, leaving you with wonderful memories of great beers in beautiful Wine Country.
